A xylene marker's properties are unlike all alcohol based markers that are common to the marketplace, and while they can be used together, they perform very differently. There is no mistaking the scent of a xylene marker, and for this reason we always suggest using it in a well ventilated area. These markers blend, transfer, and are permanent on a number of porous and non-porous substrates. The xylene based formula renders beautifully blended strokes, and is what makes our blender marker so powerful in terms of transferring images and creating dreamy, watercolor-like effects with colored pencil, graphite and charcoal.

The tri-nib point is the signature nib for AD Markers. With a twist of the wrist, you can go from a thin, to medium, to a thick stroke within the same nib. Also available is the fine point nib. With a triangular shape, it draws out a fine line for detail, or a broad stroke for more coverage when used on its side. Both nib styles allow for smooth, continuous color flow that doesn't starve or dry out with rapid or prolonged use. The tri-nib and fine point nibs are removable, tri-nib replacement nibs are available in packs of 5.
